Cynthia Page

Although I’ve been an artist all my life, I didn’t really get serious until I came to Nova Scotia.  I grew up in Montreal and moved to Halifax in 1983.  In 1991 I moved to the seaside village of Chester with my family.  The artistic environment that is prevalent in Lunenburg County inspired my artistic abilities.  The beautiful atmosphere around me is reflected in my artwork with harmonious combinations of simple lines, striking colors and quaint themes that make my style of art distinctive.  When I start with my paint brush I never know where it will take me, “this is what I love about it, it’s a complete mystery.”  I am always amazed at the wonderful results when my work is completed.  Every painting is one of kind.
