Wahoooo! We are famous in print! A word search book works for me 🤩 Book 1 features Chester and Book 2 features The Village Emporium. These 2 volumes feature everything Nova Scotian so will be great to work at on the beach, around a fire, at bedtime or to give to a friend!

NEW beading items! Hard to see but these are acrylic hypoallergenic ear studs and hooks. I have had great success with acrylic studs for those with extreme sensitivity so now you can make your own! Posts just need a bead super glued to the front. Hooks need a jumpring to dangle beads from the O. The silver or gold bead on front of the hook is stainless steel. ... See MoreSee Less

The Village Emporium is located on the main street in downtown Chester.  Picture a variety of artists under one roof, that is what you have here. You will find various jewellery, beautiful pottery, soaps, hand knit items, purses, you name it , they have it. This is a great little store, we even found this really cool flash light and bought a few of them. I have found a few items here that have made wonderful gifts.

Love this store. Any store that I walk into and see purses at 50% off has me hooked. This location is almost like a country store but there is nothing county in it.  Natural soap and bath section and really reasonable. Hidden around each corner are treasures like the ones that my mom got in the back of the store.  I found a beautiful pendant of a starfish, silver for $10 bucks.  Glasses as well as scarves and trinkets are all over the store and this is a good bang for your buck trust me I never leave empty handed.

After lunch across the street at The Foc'sle restaurant, we wandered into The Village Emporium. A little leery that we were walking into a 'tourist trap' with exorbitant prices, we were pleasantly surprised at not only the prices, but the quality and variety of merchandise! Bracelets made in their workshop, a lot of locally made or made in Nova Scotia products tempted us to stay as long as we could before leaving with our purchases. We will be back!

Living in Ontario, I wanted to bring gifts back to family that were made in Nova Scotia when I visited in 2011. The Village Emporium had absolutely everything for everybody that met my requirement. To this day, I still purchase merchandise from this charming store.
